Q:The search engines won’t update automatically. Why is that
A:

The most common reason is that your internet connection is not set up properly, or you are connected to the internet through a "Proxy Server" or "Firewall". Please make sure you enter the correct "Proxy server" address in the "Configuration" window if you are connected through a proxy server.

Also, please update the "Engine Data" file on a regular basis by going to "File>Update Engine Data File".
